Long Butterfly Spread
A long butterfly is a premium-collection strategy that combines three strikes (typically 1 long, 2 short, 1 long) to profit when the underlying pins near the middle strike at expiration. It also benefits from falling implied volatility. Risk and reward are both defined, making it a hedged way to express a tight-range or short-volatility view.
