Bear Put Spread (Vertical Bear Spread)
A bear put spread is a low-cost directional play that buys a higher-strike put and sells a lower-strike put at the same expiration. It is best used when you expect a moderate decline in the underlying - not a fast or explosive move. Both maximum profit and maximum loss are defined up front, offering a hedged alternative to a single long put.
