Ron Ianieri was known as one of the industry’s leading options educators and mentors. No one made options as easy to understand as Ron, and his passion was to empower individuals with life-changing trading knowledge.
Biography
A trader’s trader, an educator’s educator.
Ron Ianieri graduated from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a degree in finance. His trading career began on October 19, 1987 - Black Monday - at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange in Market Surveillance.
From there he moved to the Foreign Currency Options Floor, then the Equity Options Floor as a market maker for Cooper, Neff & Associates, before joining TFM Investment Group and Gateway Partners. At Gateway he developed his Option Trader Trainee Course - a proprietary trading and risk management program that quickly earned a reputation across the industry.
Ron later served as partner and Chief Options Strategist for Options University, which became a two-time Inc. 500 honoree as the market leader in options education. He appeared regularly on CNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg Asia, and BNN, and was quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and MarketWatch.
He founded Ion Options, contributed to TycoonU, authored Option Theory and Trading, and partnered with Jon Najarian, Pete Najarian, and Dirk Mueller-Ingrand at optionMONSTER and Investitute - the firm that ultimately became Market Rebellion.
Ron Ianieri passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the age of 54, surrounded by family and close friends. His profound impact on Market Rebellion - and on the thousands of traders he taught - inspired the team to build the most comprehensive options education curriculum anywhere.
